About the center
The Center for Social Research (CSR) was founded in 2007 and is an integral part of the Austrian social science research infrastructure. The CSR has three goals: First, to conduct long-term, continuous and sustainable monitoring of the social structure and value change within Austrian society. To achieve this, population surveys are carried out as part of the Social Survey Austria (SSÖ) and the International Social Survey Program (ISSP). Second, to support the research community throughout the entire data life cycle – from research planning, data collection and analysis to long-term archiving and data provision – in its role as a regional location of the Austrian Social Science Data Archive (AUSSDA). Third, to provide the best possible support for projects within the framework of applied research.
